The magical concept of work-life balance is particularly challenging in health research careers thanks to the unpredictable hours, a competitive environment and our desire to produce outcomes that will make a difference to the world. The challenge to find this elusive balance between work and personal commitments is felt at all career levels, whether you are juggling study commitments, raising a family, or dedicating time to a person or passion you love.
At this event we are very excited to have as our guest speaker Dr Linda Friedland who is a clinician, public health advocate, author and international speaker. Linda is an expert on women’s and workplace health and performance, presenting on these topics to a range of global organisations in more than 30 countries. Over breakfast, Linda will take us through some practical tips on how to achieve work-life integration and provide motivation to those of us aspiring to a successful career, healthy relationships and a meaningful life.
As always, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet other women in the field and share experiences about forging rewarding health research careers.
Join us for a delicious hot breakfast and inspiring morning to set you up for a great year ahead!
