Members Connect Virtual Meetup – ‘All about mentoring’
Tuesday 11th March 2025, 12:30pm
Online WebinarLearn from other Franklin Women members and strengthen your professional network in this free, one hour, members only event.
No matter where you are in your career – just starting out or established in a leadership role – mentors can provide invaluable guidance, support, and perspective to help you achieve your goals and navigate challenges. In fact, mentoring has been highlighted as an important career enabler in the health and medical research ecosystem.
Yet, we often hear from our community that they feel uncertain about how to find a mentor or how to navigate their existing mentoring relationships successfully.
To help explore these key questions (and more!) we’ve invited Associate Professor Kate McBride to share practical tips on mentorship, reflecting on her own experiences as both a mentee and a mentor.
This session is open to FW members at all career stages – whether you’re looking for a mentor, already have one or are considering becoming one!
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- A deep dive into mentorship and the chance to ask practical questions
- The opportunity to expand and strengthen your network
- An intimate, welcoming and safe online space where you’ll feel heard and understood.
Places are strictly limited to protect our interactive, intimate and inclusive environment – and keep the FW sparkle flowing! If you would like to come along, please RSVP under the ‘Tickets’ section below.
*Please note meetup time is AEDT
About the Members Connect Meetup series
The Members Connect event series aims to bring together our amazing FW members to strengthen networks and provide opportunities to engage with organisations and individuals who are driving trends and leading innovative programs of work that impacts health.
We know it’s not always easy (or possible!) to attend in-person Franklin Women events due to work schedules, caring responsibilities, travel time, or because crowded event spaces aren’t for you. That’s why our Members Connect events will be hosted across Sydney, Canberra and virtually at different days and times throughout the year – and they are FREE.
