WORKSHOP SOLD OUT! LinkedIn Workshop, Sydney Event

Two of our favourite things at Franklin Women are facilitating meaningful career connections and increasing the visibility of women and their contributions in our sector. LinkedIn – the world’s largest online professional network – is a powerful tool for both! No longer just a platform used by the business world, more and more people working across the health and medical research ecosystem are joining up and using LinkedIn to create new opportunities for connection and collaboration as well as to build their thought leadership credentials.

But it can be a challenge to find the time to learn how to use the platform effectively, not to mention building a profile that showcases your experience and expertise in a way that feels authentic to you.

So, we are excited to host a 2-hour workshop with LinkedIn profile writer and trainer, Karen Tisdell. Karen will walk you through LinkedIn and share her top tips for being seen and heard on this increasingly important platform. This will be a practical and highly-interactive event – be sure to bring your laptops!

You will learn:

  • What key parts of your profile matter most
  • The art and etiquette of building meaningful and useful connections
  • A simple framework for posting content

And join us afterwards for a light lunch and some networking with the other attendees!

Karen Tisdell – LinkedIn Profile Writer and Trainer

Karen Tisdell first started using LinkedIn in 2005. Foreseeing the importance of how business leaders are perceived online she launched her profile writing business in 2009. A decade on she ranked as one of the top 8 independent LinkedIn trainers across Asia Pacific (SMMI) and has since been awarded by LinkedIn as a ‘Top Voice’ for having produced some of the most popular and helpful content.

A listener who dives deep into people’s stories to uncover what matters most to them, Karen is passionate about helping women stand out in a way that feels authentic. She articulates their unique value propositions, empowering them to show up on LinkedIn with intentionality to attract the right people and cut through the noise.

Karen teaches LinkedIn at Sydney’s UTS Business School, and while she has facilitated LinkedIn sales training for some of the biggest companies in Australia her greatest thrill is in helping experts stand out on social media. Karen’s other joys are bushwalks, matcha icecream and boogie boarding with her 12 year old.
