Information for Organisations
Franklin Women welcome diverse organisations across the health and medical research ecosystem in NSW and ACT to take part in the Franklin Women Mentoring Program. Previous participating organisations have included University Faculties, medical research institutes, not-for-profit organisations, health care organisations, government and industry.
As a Participating Organisation you are eligible to put forward mid-career women (mentees) and senior leaders of any gender (mentors) who meet the Eligibility Criteria (see below). Mentees and mentors will then be matched from within the overall participating cohort.
Outcomes for organisations who have participated in our program include promotions for their women mentees in the following 12-months, increased mentoring skills among their leaders, and a shift in workplace culture as participants bring inclusive leadership skills back to their teams and organisations.
If your organisation is interested in taking part in either Sydney or Canberra, please get in touch with us for program details.
Applications are now closed for the 2023 Mentoring Program.
Eligibility Criteria
The Franklin Women Mentoring Program is targeted to mid-career women who are interested in, or have the potential to, assume leadership roles in our sector. This specific career stage has been chosen based on evidence that it is when the proportion of women working within the health and medical research sector declines relatively to men. We welcome mentors of any gender into our program which is critical in engaging all leaders in the importance of mentoring and inclusive leadership.
The mentor eligibility criteria is outlined below:

MENTORS
An individual who has demonstrated significant experience in the sector at a leadership level, either in a research, academic or executive capacity.
