Leadership Conversation with Professor Mark Scott

We can’t wait to bring together the Alumni of our Sydney Mentoring Program for our annual Alumni thought leadership event.

These exclusive events create an opportunity for past participants of the program to reconnect, as well as continue conversations around leadership in the context of the health and medical research ecosystem but also more broadly.

For our 2024 Alumni event, Dr Melina Georgousakis will sit down for an intimate conversation with Professor Mark Scott AO, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Sydney.

Melina will ask Mark about his own leadership journey reflecting on his career navigating public service, education, media, and now higher education. As well as his personal commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and the opportunities, but also challenges, that come with bringing this to life at an organisational level.

She will also seek Mark’s thoughts on the future of higher education and research – from multidisciplinary collaborations, innovative funding models, integrating technology and the importance of developing, recognising and rewarding leadership capabilities.

There will be plenty of time to ask Mark your own questions as well as chat with him and a room full of brilliant people from within our sector over canapés and drinks.
